Woman Gets Out Of Ticket, Receives This In Mail

Gina Headen was pulled over for speeding in St. Clair County, IL, and became unexpectedly emotional because she had just experienced the loss of a loved one. According to KMOV, the responding officer went out of his way to comfort the troubled motorist, who remains forever grateful.

As anyone who has dealt with the loss of a loved one can relate to, emotions can get the better of us at the most inopportune times as a result of our grief. That’s exactly what happened to Gina, who would end up hysterically crying after a police officer, Deputy Dan Hill, let her go with a warning.

Hill got to the bottom of what was troubling Gina, and offered up some helpful words of encouragement for the woman who had just lost her father.

"He said take a deep breath, your dad must have been a good man to have someone who loved him and cared for him so much, then talked to me for a few minutes," Gina remembers.

Gina would also be shocked to receive a condolence card in the mail from the very same deputy. She’s shared the deputy’s incredible acts of kindness on Facebook, and the post has been shared more than 20,000 times.
