Woman Dies From Cancer - Then Neighbors Learn She Was Hiding Disturbing Secret

When Leigh Ann Sabine joked about murdering her husband or having a skeleton in the attic, no one was sure if they should believe her or not. Sabine was known as a notorious liar who would spin stories about her fantastical career and her husband’s cheating ways.

It wasn’t until after her death that the body of her husband, John Sabine, was discovered in their attic. Thirteen years had passed since she smashed his head in with the 2lb stone frog kept next to their marital bed, then wrapped him in 50 layers of roofing felt and plastic bags, which mummified his corpse.

According to MailOnline, the body was found in the attic when the former cabaret singer died at age 74 in 2015 and a neighbor was cleaning out her house.

“She was an evil woman,” said John Sabine’s son from a former marriage, Christopher Sabine said. “She knew what she was doing. She told a pick of lies all her life. When I was told they found my father’s body, I couldn’t believe it. I hadn’t seen him for 27 years and we didn’t know if he was dead or alive. I tried to contact him many times, but he never replied. Now we know why.”

After the body was found, a pathologist was able to prove that Sabine used the frog to kill her husband as the eyes and hind leg of the ornament matched up with John Sabine’s injuries.

Sabine’s neighbors and friends have heard her make seemingly joking comments about her having a skeleton in the attic and even admitting that she killed her husband with a stone frog.

“The problem with Anne was you never knew if she was telling the truth or not,” a friend of hers told MailOnline.
