Woman Caused This Devastating Accident By Posting A Message On Facebook - What It Said Is Even More Heartbreaking

A woman driving in North Carolina heard a song she loved. She decided to snap a picture of herself and make a post about it on Facebook. Unfortunately, she was driving at the time. It was the last thought she would ever post.

Courtney Ann Sanford, 32, has become an example of the dangers of distracted driving. While she was driving she heard the song 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams, and decided to post about it on Facebook.

Instead of pulling over, Sanford took a selfie of herself. She posted, "The happy song makes me HAPPY!"

As she was distracted, Sanford veered across the median and drove into the path of oncoming traffic. She crashed into a recycling truck, then slammed into a tree. The mangled remains of her car burst into flames.

Sanford was killed instantly. When police officers recovered her phone on the scene, the post was still on the screen.

"We’ve all seen these graphic advertisements on TV, this was real life," said Police Lieutenant Chris Weisner.

Sanford's promising life was snuffed out all too soon, all because of a bad choice. There's nothing on social media that's worth risking your life.
