Woman Arrested For DUI, Husband Shows Up - Police Immediately Notice This

A Michigan mom was stopped by police for allegedly driving while intoxicated with her children in the car. She called her husband to come and bail her out. He drove over to the get his family, and he was drunk as well.

Siobhan Theresa Egnot, 36, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated with occupants under the age of 16. Police officers were dispatched after call came in from someone who witnessed some erratic behavior. The witness reported a Ford Explorer that ran off the road and stopped in the front yard of a home.

Police arrived and administered a field sobriety test to Egnot. She failed. Her 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son were in the vehicle.

Egnot called her husband to come pick up the children because she was being arrested. His name has not been released.

The husband, 39, arrived on the scene and got out of his Pontiac G6. As soon as he stepped out, police suspected that he, too, was intoxicated.

Both parents were given breathalyzer tests, but officers would not disclose the results. An investigation is ongoing.

The police refused to release the children to the husband and instead called Child Protective Services to collect them. Eventually, the children were placed in the temporary care of their maternal grandmother.
