Wife Walks Into Bedroom, Finds Another Woman Laying In Bed - Loses It

A suspect in Florida who escaped after she was arrested was found inside a stranger's home. Apparently the woman, put on a pair flannel pajamas belonging to the homeowner, according to Volusia County deputies.

The intruder and suspect in an earlier shoplifting, Eryn Rice, 22, escaped from authorities Sunday morning, and broke into the woman's home, where she washed her clothes, hopped in the shower, put on pajamas she found and lay down for a nap in the guest bedroom.

Rice had been arrested for retail theft, resisting an officer with violence, battery on a law enforcement officer, giving a false name and escape. When she was eventually caught, burglary and petty theft were added to the charges.

It seems that before Rice left the CVS store, her accomplice John Willey noticed that deputies had spotted him in his car, and so he left the scene. Rice was caught as she left the CVS store, and a deputy tried to take her into custody.

The deputy got one handcuff on Rice’s left wrist, then she spun around, pushed the deputy to the ground and ran off.

Rice somehow managed to get away, and managed to avoid a search that included K-9 units and a helicopter.

Then deputies noted that at 11:30 a.m. Sunday a couple asked a deputy in the area asked if they were looking for a young woman. The couple explained that when her husband left to play golf that morning, the wife saw a strange woman in the house wearing her husband’s clothes.

The confused and upset wife said she called her husband asking for an explanation. The husband came home and was insistent that he wasn’t having an affair with the woman.

The couple eventually agreed to drive Rice just a few blocks away to a home on Fountain Road.

When deputies showed up at the home on Fountain Road, Willey was driving away, and Rice was hiding on the floorboard of the car.

Both suspects were arrested and taken into custody.
