Widow Always Waves At Students Walking By Her Home, One Day They Ask Her To Come Out

One woman was recently invited to a local high school and honored by the student body. She was not a teacher. She never worked for the school. She didn't even know the majority of the kids personally. There is something that she had been doing for the kids for years, however, that made them want to show their appreciation.

Tinney Davidson and her husband used to sit by their window in the mornings, at lunch time and in the afternoon. As they sat, they would wave to the high school students heading to their school down the street. Mr. Davidson sadly passed away, but Tinney continued the tradition.

Every day, rain or shine, kids heading to and from school would encounter a friendly wave and a bright smile. The kids would wave back to her as well.

“I love it,” said Tinney. “And they seem to like it also. So it’s been a fun few years.”

She never thought much of this small, kind gesture, until she was invited by the school one day to come visit. When she arrived, students showered her with cards, letters and gifts. The entire school assembled to applaud her and thank her for her kindness. There was not a dry eye in the house.

"She waves at me every day as I walk to school and I can always count on her to be that warm smile on a dreary day," said one student.

"She's just one of those people who's like pumping everyone's attitude up and it makes everyone's day a little bit brighter," said another student.

Tinney was overwhelmed by all the love she got from the kids, and proved that even the smallest kindness can impact others in a big way.
