Walmart Manager Stunned When Teen Employee Shows Up Wearing Just Pink Socks - Breaks Down When He Hears Why

When Myrna Kines saw the most beautiful thing she’s ever seen before in a Walmart, she had to let people know about it on Facebook. The heartwarming story has not gone viral, according to Fox News.

Phil Bravin Powell was working at a Walmart in Lithia Spring, Georgia when he noticed that there was a barefoot homeless man sitting outside of his store. Powell was compelled to help the man. So much so that he sacrificed his own comfort to help the man.

He took the sneakers off of his own feet and gave them to the man. Kines noticed the ordeal and posted the shoeless photo of Powell on Facebook.

"I just witnessed this young man take the shoes off of his feet and give them to a man," Kines wrote in the post. "I will be contacting Walmart Corporate to tell them they have an awesome employee!"

Powell’s manager, Mike Kastensmidt, shared Kines' post and noticed that his employee wasn’t wearing and shoes. Powell said he was homeless for most of his life and knew how the man felt. He told Powell that he could take a pair of shoes from the store.

“He chose a $13.00 pair of slippers,” Kastensmidt said. “That's all he 'needed.'"

Way to go, Phil!
