Waitress At Denny's Doesn't Realize What Customer Has Done Until He Leaves (PHOTOS)

Requests by restaurant patrons that go against the grain and fall into the realm of creepy and unusual can leave the whole restaurant on edge until the diner finally finishes up and leaves. According to Mad World News, what seemed to be one of those requests from this diner turned out to be something else entirely.

A hostess at a Denny’s Restaurant in Utah has shared a story on Facebook about a strange man that came in with an unusual request.

“Can I have a waitress who is a single mother?” the man asked.

The hostess would accommodate him by sitting him in the section of a waitress named Crystal, but she found herself feeling pretty uneasy about the whole situation. The man would sit for what seemed like hours and not order too much, which led to further feelings of creepiness.

The man would turn out to be anything but creepy, and proceeded to spend over $1,000 to purchase meals for families who visited the establishment on that day. The hostess finally realized what was going on and summoned the courage to ask the stranger why he was doing such a good deed.

“Family is everything, I’ve lost all mine,” the man said.

He would leave soon thereafter, and leave Crystal a $1,500 tip for serving him. Crystal was an extremely gracious recipient of the generous tip, and was, in fact, praying for some sort of miracle to turn her luck around and allow her to move out of the shelter she had been staying in with her son. Sounds like Crystal’s prayers were answered, and that the entire restaurant received a reminder on how much they should cherish the families they have.
