Waiter Baffled by Large Tip

Garret Wayman, 17, is a waiter who works at a restaurant called Mulvane DK in Mulvane, Kansas. He survives on tips as his wage is $3 an hour.

Recently, he saw $20 waiting for him under a bottle of ketchup. He was naturally excited. Garret explained, “I was just taken aback because I don’t know if you’ve ever been a server, but whenever you see a $20 tip, it’s a big deal."

As Garret took a closer look, he realized it wasn't actually a $20 bill. It was a religious pamphlet disguised as money that read "DON’T BE FOOLED! THERE IS SOMETHING YOU CAN HAVE MORE VALUABLE THAN MONEY!"

It then recommended the recipient start reading the Bible and to seek Jesus. Garret shared his frustration on social media. Garret said, “I wanted to tell him that I only make $3 an hour and bust my a– at my job to make way less than I deserve, but he was gone by the time I had the chance to.”

While the intentions are noble, it would have been helpful to leave some actual money too.
