In the wake of the tragic Paris attacks, terror threats are also growing from within the United States. In fact, over the past 18 months, around 66 men and women have been charged with ISIS-related terror plots on American soil--this includes a handful of refugees.
Tensions are high especially after ISIS declared Washington D.C. a target. Now, 34 governors are refusing to take in any more Syrian refugees, despite President Obama's push to resettle them in America.
One such charge was set against Air Force veteran Tairod Nathan Webster Pugh who was an avionics instrument system specialist from 1986 to 1990. Federal Authorities say he converted to Islam after leaving the military and has become steadily more radical.
In 2001, an American Airlines co-worker reported Pugh for sympathizing with Osama Bin Laden. In January, Pugh was blocked from entering Turkey and deported to the U.S.
Then, there is Hasan Edmonds, a National Guard soldier, accused of plotting a "Charlie Hebdo"- style raid on a military facility.
In addition, six Bosnian immigrants, three from Missouri, two from Illinois and one from New York, were charged in February with sending money and military equipment to extremist groups in Syria including ISIS and the Al Qaeda-affiliated Al-Nusra Front. They used PayPal and Western Union to send funds to jihadists.
