Unexpected Comment By Chelsea Clinton About Barron Trump Leaves Everyone Stunned

Most people have agreed that the children of presidents (at least, while they're still children) should be off limits when it comes to criticism. That doesn't stop a handful of sleazy people from throwing out insults toward the youngsters once in a while. When outrageous remarks came out about President Donald Trump's 11-year-old son, Barron, Chelsea Clinton — another 'White House Kid' — came to his defense. Unfortunately, she couldn't just leave it at defending a little boy.

After Friday's inauguration, some sore losers who couldn't accept that their candidate of choice lost in a democratic election couldn't help making a few low blows. Tweets suggested that Barron Trump would end up a 'homeschool shooter' and 'mutilating cats' in the near future.

Chelsea Clinton, who was 12 years old when her father took office in 1993, posted in Barron's defense on Facebook, but some say the message got watered down because she couldn't resist getting political.

"Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does - to be a kid," wrote Clinton.

Then she added, "Standing up for every kid also means opposing POTUS policies that hurt kids."

The former first daughter got backlash for being ‘hypocritical.'

"This seems very half-hearted to me. Are you standing up for this child, or are you using it as an opportunity to make a political point?" said a commenter to Clinton.

"Should have let the comment about Barron stand on its own & tweeted separately about his father. No props due to you," read a tweet by danu728.
