Twins Came Into Hospital While Under Parents Care, Nurses Gasp After Finding This In Their Genitals

The trial of an Oklahoma couple and three grandparents in what has been described as one of the worse cases of child neglect seen in years involving twin baby girls who had a combined weight of a mere 16 lbs.

The parents, 24-year-old Aislyn Miller and 25-year-old Kevin Fowler, were arrested late last year on five counts of child neglect when their 9-month-old twins were hospitalized for extreme malnourishment.

The twins were discovered “looking like skeletons” and suffering from severe diaper rash, infections and bed sores.

Owasso police were called in given a report of suspected abuse based on the children's condition.

According to media sources, a nurse reported she saw a maggot crawl out of the genital area of one of the infants.

Apparently, feces were also located in one of the child's ears.

Miller explained to law enforcement that the reason the babies were in such bad condition was that the two of them didn't have any experience taking care of babies.

She also commented she didn’t have health insurance and wasn't sure how to provide healthcare, based on an interview. Neither of the twins had seen a doctor since they were born.

The twins’ parental grandmother, 65-year-old Rita Fowler, was also arrested and charged with felony permitting child neglect and misdemeanor failing to report child neglect.

Miller's parents, 47-year-old Johnny Miller and his wife, 54-year-old Cathey Miller, are also facing charges of child neglect and failure to report.

The girls are in the custody of Department of Human Services, together with their two older siblings.

In a preliminary hearing this week, DHS investigator Kristi Simpson said the babies' physical state at the time of their hospitalization was “shocking and heinous.”

Dr. Michael Baxter, who treated the twins, testified in court that the infants were severely underweight for children their ages and lagging in their development.

There was also testimony from a police detective who said that Rita Fowler, the girls' maternal grandmother, was charged because she saw the children around a month before their hospitalization, and should have known they needed help but did not contact authorities.
