Truth About Twin Who Died In Accident Comes To Light

A woman from Maui is accused of killing her twin sister by driving their SUV off a cliff along Hana Highway.

Alexandria Duval, 37, survived the 200-foot plunge and crash that wrecked her Ford Explorer on the rocks below the cliff.
Her twin sister Anastasia Duval was dead at the scene.

Authorities note the sisters also called themselves Allison (Alexandria) and Ann (Anastasia) Dadow.

Alexandria Duval appeared in a Wailuku on a second-degree attempted murder charge, arm in a sling but able to walk. She is being held without bail, but the judge in the case just threw out the second degree murder charge.

Court documents reveal new twists to the shocking incident, including eyewitness accounts that the two sisters were “screaming and arguing with each other,” and “the passenger was pulling at the driver’s hair and the steering wheel.”

Note that rescue crews had to pry the sisters from the vehicle on the rocks at the bottom of the cliff.

Witness Lawrence Lau told local media he saw the two women struggling before the SUV bolted and fell off the cliff.

“I saw a pair of hands jerking the head, pulling the hair,” Lau said. “There were hands pulling her head down like this, and her head was jerking.”

Lau said the driver then suddenly accelerated and drove past them and off the cliff.

“My first thought when she was coming past us was, ‘Don’t hit me, don’t hit me,’ because she was slightly out of control. She was doing 40 miles an hour from a dead stop at that point,” Lau explained. “I’m just sad about it. I’m amazed that that lady survived. I am really amazed because I saw how far she fell.”
