Trump Jumps To Razor-Thin Lead Over Clinton In New Poll - Makes Challenge She Can't Deny

While many in the media continue to treat the presidential election as if it’s all but a foregone conclusion, some new polling data provides them with additional confirmation of a simple fact that seems to be slipping their minds. There’s a lot of time between now and November 8, and as they often do in presidential election cycles, things can and will change several times. According to Western Journalism, some new polling data just may help that message sink in.

A new poll from the Los Angeles Times shows that Republican candidate Donald Trump has taken a slight lead over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by the razor-thin margin of 44% to 43.6%. Though the lead is less than a point and subject to change, it still makes for a remarkable turnaround for a campaign was thought to be on its last legs.

The two candidates have alternated leads, and overall the polls have been relatively tight. That changed over the past month or so, as Trump continued to dine on his own foot for what seemed like days on end. Support for Clinton increased over that time frame, and she jumped out to a seemingly insurmountable lead.

Alas, the winds of change have blown through the election cycle yet again. That pesky email problem continues to rear its head for Clinton, and she’s also facing some serious questions over whether she used her time as Secretary of State to directly benefit the Clinton Foundation.

In short, things will continue to go back and forth as we head towards November 8. Barring an absolutely unforgivable sin by either candidate or Julian Assange making good on some promises, things will likely remain pretty tight in the polls.
