Trump And Tower Staff Come Under Fire For Refusing To...

If you don’t pay your bills associated with your living accommodations, you will eventually be asked to leave. If those that want you to go can find you, that is. That’s the conundrum that creditors looking to track down New York socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein, also known as Catwoman, are facing. As the New York Daily News shares, she’s currently in default of her $4.5 million mortgage on a luxury apartment in Trump World Tower.

Creditors haven’t been able to track her down by the usual means to serve her with foreclosure papers, so they’re asking judges to allow them to simply serve her attorney.

“Plaintiff suggests that serving Wildenstein by regular mail sent to the Premises and/or by regular mail and electronic mail to Mr. David Hryck, Esq. would be reasonably calculated to inform Wildenstein and give her appropriate notice of the proceedings,” a notice filed with the court reads in part.

So why can’t they just head to the building and attempt to corner Catwoman? Been there, done that, and building staff isn’t exactly offering up help. Reports indicate that mortgage company representatives have visited the building twice, and they’ve even conducted stakeouts.

“According to documents filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Modern Bank is also getting no help from the protective Trump World Tower staff, who will not accept any summonses on Wildenstein’s behalf, and have threatened to call the cops on anyone who tries to drop off paperwork for her,” the News reports.

Wildenstein has an unusual appearance - to say the least - and she rose to fame off of the fact that she walked away with a whopping $2.5 billion after divorcing art dealer heir Alec Wildenstein in the late 1990’s. That’s a solid amount of skrilla, but it sounds like the gravy train has taken a detour. She’s reportedly fallen on hard times, as her ex-husband’s family trust has cut her off.

Catwoman was receiving $110,000-a-month for the past 17 years. Yes, a month. Based on the fact that she can now not afford to pay her bills, we’ll fancy a guess that she was living paycheck-to-paycheck, so to speak. Many Americans can certainly relate to that, but most rational folks would be able to bank away a good portion of the more than $100k she was receiving on a monthly basis.

Perhaps she did, but the bottom line is it’s time for her to pay the piper. For a mortgage company to initiate foreclosure proceedings, one would have to be seriously delinquent and non-communicative. They really don’t want the property in the grand scheme of things, but they will come and take it if their hand is forced.

Financial troubles aren’t the only things plaguing Catwoman these days. Her marriage of 20 years is on the rocks after she caught her husband in bed with his 19-year-old model girlfriend in the couple’s Upper East Side home. The upstanding gentleman pointed a pistol at his beloved bride for good measure. Here’s to hoping things turn around for Catwoman.
