Tit For Tat: Trump Contemplates Filing Charges Against Michelle Fields For Touching His Arm

Former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields pressed charges against Donald Trump's Campaign manager Corey Lewandowski for 'intentionally' touching her arm. Trump, who says Fields touched him first, is thinking turnabout is fair play.

Lewandowski has been charged with battery and a hearing is pending after the Florida encounter with Fields. Initially, Fields said Lewandowski yanked her back and off balance so viciously that she nearly fell over.

"I was jolted backwards! Someone grabbed me tightly by the arm and yanked me down. Campaign managers aren't supposed to forcefully throw reporters to the ground," said Fields in a report.
She claims she was shaken and left bruised by the incident.

Lewandowski initially laughed at the accusations, saying he never touched her and that Fields was delusional. Fields even resigned from her job with Breitbart when her employer refused to back her on the incident.

When police later found and released surveillance video that captured the incident, as usual, the truth was found somewhere in the middle. Lewandowski accosted Trump as he walked quickly in a crowded room as reporters often do. Lewandowski reached out, grabbed her arm for a second and pulled her back as he then passed her to keep up with his candidate. Fields appears stunned, but not hurt or off-balance.

"She’s a liar!" Trump said bluntly. "It was bulls***."

"Before she knew she was on tape, she said: 'I was jolted backwards!'" Trump said, quoting Fields. "Except she never went to the ground. She never even came – she never even flinched!"

"Women are so –" Trump began, raising eyebrows. But the candidate, who has been attacked so often for disrespecting women, quickly caught himself and prudently changed gears. "What did you think?"

Trump tweeted images of Fields touching and grabbing him moments before Lewandowski intervened. "Can I press charges?" he tweeted.

He also asked Anderson Cooper in a CNN interview, "She was grabbing me. Am I supposed to press charges against her?'"

Trump has never been afraid of litigation, so who knows how this might turn out.
