Thieves Get Busted with "To Do" List That Includes 'Shop Lift'

It's good to be organized, I suppose, even if you are a criminal. Two suspects caught in San Diego on Tuesday both had to-do lists on them, one of which included 'shop lifting.

Kristina Green, 19, wanted to be organized during the busy holiday season so she wrote out her to-do list for December 11. The list was almost sweet, with items like, "Kiss mom n tell her she's loved" followed by a little happy face. One item in particular really helped out authorities: shop lifting.

Green and partner-in-crime Gary Withers, 38, decided to go on a little holiday crime spree. The two followed an Amazon delivery truck, picking up the packages that were left at doors. They stole packages left at 13 homes, which turned out to be an unlucky number for them because that's when the driver noticed them and called the police.

Green and Withers were taken into custody. Police found the packages, methamphetamine, heroin, guns and other stolen property on them. They also found the to-do lists.

"She made it nice and pretty for us," detective sergeant Rich Eaton said to the Daily News. "I've never seen anything like that. It's crazy."

Withers didn't have shop lifting on his list, but he did include locations to nearby FedEx and UPS mailboxes.

At least, the D.A. got what he wanted for Christmas—an open-and-shut case.
