They Finally Got To The Hotel, Horrified After Finding This Between The Sheets

After a long day of travel, there is nothing better than crawling into a cozy, already made bed in your hotel. Unfortunately, an unnamed hotel guest, believed to be from the U.S, was greeted with an unpleasant surprise when he decided to turn in for the night. After spending the day exploring a new city, the traveler was exhausted and looking forward to a restful night’s sleep and climbed into what he believed was a freshly made, comfy bed. When he climbed into the bed, book in hand, he noticed a crinkling sound coming from the mattress. Curious, the man searched for the source, finding a crinkled up note in the sheets of his bed.

What the man read on this note left him horrified and disgusted. The last guest using the room of the man had left a note in the sheets stating “if you’re reading this, then housekeeping did not change your sheets!”. It appears that the housekeeping service at the ‘Courtyard Marriot’ were less than dutiful, leaving the dirtied sheets from the previous guests on the bed and simply remaking the bed after they had left.

Unfortunately, this is an all too common occurrence in hotels around the globe. While most people take cleanliness and hygiene for granted in high-end hotels, guests are facing a number of hidden health risks when they go on vacation. There are a number of things that guests need to be aware of when staying in a hotel including ice buckets, which have been known to be used as vomit buckets by previous guests, bed bug infestations in the mattress, end tables and luggage rack, as well as hot tubs, commonly breeding grounds for nasty bacteria passed on by other guests. While many guests believe that hotel housekeeping are diligent and meticulous when going about their duties, most people would be unpleasantly surprised to find that many corners are cut when cleaning rooms and public spaces.
