Teens Accused Of Murder Break Down Crying During The Judge's Sentencing (Video)

Two teens in Berkeley County bond court broke down when they heard their families plead with the judge to allow them to be released on bail. They were denied.

Jacob Mouzon, 17, and Drake Campbell, 18, were both arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder, burglary and two counts of armed robbery. The teens took part in a deadly home invasion with at least three other suspects and killed Kadeem Johnson, 27, in an execution-style murder.

Mouzon's sister pleaded, "Jacob's my best friend, I know what he did was wrong, I completely understand that, but he’s not a bad person."

Mouzon's mother apologized for her son's behavior to the family of the victim. "We apologize for him. I know their hearts are breaking and I’m sorry for them."

Neither of the teens could hold back the tears when they heard their families speak. Mouzon had planned to join the National Guard and Campbell had joined the Navy. Their families insist they were 'not awful terrible kids.'

In South Carolina, summary court judges cannot give bonds to murder suspects, so the teens were denied. They're being sent to a Circuit Court Judge for another hearing.
