Teen Who Was Raped Asks Man For Help - Then Things Take A Horrifying Turn

A teenager had a traumatic experience after being sexually assaulted. As she sought help after the attack, a person she reached out to also sexually assaulted her. One of the men was caught, but the other is still at large.

The 14-year-old girl reportedly was out in Birmingham with her friends on July 25 when they went into a rail station. A man lured her away and then he and a second man allegedly raped her. One of those men was identified as Khurram Rahi, a 27-year-old from Birmingham.

Some seven hours later, after the attack, the traumatized teen walked out of the station alone and tried to flag down help. It was near 2 a.m., and the girl managed to catch the attention of a man in a car driving by. He stopped and she begged the passerby for help.

Instead of helping, the man in that car went on to rape the young girl again, for the second time in one terrifying day.

"This was a horrifying ordeal for this young girl and we have specially trained officers supporting her," said British Transport Police's detective chief inspector Tony Fitzpatrick. "It is now vitally important we investigate exactly what happened on Tuesday morning, as well as identifying offenders for both of these awful incidents."

Police quickly identified and arrested Rahi, the girl's first attacker. He made an appearance in court on Monday and was charged with sexual assault. A 34-year-old man, who has yet to be identified, was also charged in the first attack and was later released.

The second man, police say, is still at large. He has been described as 'thick set' and of Asian descent, with large biceps. He is approximately 5'6" tall.

"This case has gained national interest and I am pleased we are now in a position to charge a man in connection," said Inspector Fitzpatrick to The Liberal. "However, we still have a suspect outstanding for the offense in the vehicle. I would urge anyone who may have any information regarding this attack to get in touch as soon as possible."

Fitzpatrick says that police are investigating and asking for people to report any suspicious vehicles they might have spotted near Witton station at approximately 2 a.m.

This poor young girl went through an unthinkable ordeal of running into two vicious rapists in a matter of hours. Police are determined to bring all guilty parties in this case to justice. Some images of a person believed to be the second man have been released and police are urging anyone with information to call.

"My detectives are currently examining all available CCTV in an effort to identify the offenders and whilst these enquiries are made, we are keen to speak with any potential witnesses," said Fitzpatrick. "Whilst this incident happened during the early morning and there may not have been many people around, I would be keen to speak with anyone who may have been in the area at the time."
