Teen On Life Support After Participating In A Youtube Challenge

An unidentified 16-year-old boy from Orange County, Florida is currently on life support after lighting himself on fire based on a dare.

The "Fire Challenge" started around 2012 with a YouTube video that has now gained half-a-million views. The teen doused himself with a flammable liquid while he had a friend light a match and hold it to his clothes.

The teen then suffered second and third-degree burns on his arms, chest and back. Neighbor Esther Ruiz said "He was just screaming for somebody to help him."

The teen's aunt, Lisa Oliphant, witnessed the entire incident and drenched him in water before calling 911. She said he had "skin hanging off his arms." The friend has not been charged.
