Teen Does The Unthinkable To Parents, Still Parties On NYE

On Sunday, police found the decomposing bodies of Rosa Sanchez and Anderson Nunez. It turns out that Sanchez' daughter, Destiny, 15, has been charged with second-degree murder.

Initially, reports stated that Destiny told her cousin that her mother's husband had raped her and her mother wouldn't do anything about it. She also told police that her mother was hitting her, and her stepfather didn't put an end to it. Destiny reportedly confessed to the murder while being questioned in the 61st Precint in Sheepshead Bay.

She has been charged as an adult with two counts of murder and two counts of possession of a deadly weapon.

The victims are identified as Rosa Sanchez, 38, and Anderson Nunez, 40. The police are now searching for a 15-year-old boy who may have helped Destiny. According to police, Destiny stabbed her mother to death at their apartment in the Sheepshead Bay Houses on December 27. As her step-father tried to intervene, her male accomplice shot him. The two then fled the scene.

Destiny stayed with her biological father, telling him that she got into a fight with her mother. In addition, investigators say that as her mother and step-father's corpses were rotting in the family apartment, Destiny went ahead and attended New Year's Eve celebrations in Times Square.

When the bodies were found, police contacted Destiny's father and traced her cell phone. Police found problems when Destiny's motives kept changing through questioning.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce stated, "She basically said it was the mother that actually was abusive to her, physically abusive to her, in the past. We don't believe this was at all an act of self-defense. She went and got a gun...That's not consistent with someone in self-defense."

Destiny's cousin, Jason Valentin, 37, said he believes someone coached her to say her abuse story. The girl allegedly shot the couple in the neck and then stabbed them. Neighbor Tiffany Jackson, 21, said, "They looked like they had problems."
