Teacher Fired After Authorities See What She Did To Young Boy

A Tifton, Georgia special needs teacher has been fired following a situation with a student. An incident report was filed at the Tifton Police Department, it alleges that a special needs child at the Tifton County Pre-K Center was physically struck by a teacher on the morning of March 17th.

The parents detailed in the report what happened. They said the teacher, Amelia Stripling, allegedly struck their child from behind with her knee, causing him to jerk forward and fall to the floor. This action could have had a worse outcome, considering the child was under 5 years old.

The director of communications for Tift County Schools, Stacey Beckham, confirmed that the incident occurred at the school, but that the child was not injured. She stated that as soon as the school found out, the teacher was sent home. They said the school took action right away and made sure there was a safe environment for their students.

After a full investigation, Stripling is not a teacher anymore in Tifton and she will have to answer to the local law enforcement's investigation. Stripling should be bared from teaching for some time and should have to take classes on anger management if she ever wants to teach again.
