Surrogate Mother Can't Believe What Parents Wanted Her to Do

Brittneyrose Torres, from Thousand Oaks, California heard that a friend-of-a-friend could not have children. So, she offered to act as a surrogate. Under their contract she was going to be paid at least $30,000--$25,000 for carrying one child and an additional $5,000 for carrying two more babies.

She was quickly implanted with two fertilized eggs. Both eggs fertilized and even split in half--she was pregnant with two boys and a girl. The couple also stated that they would not consider abortion unless it was a life-and-death situation.

Yet, 12 weeks into the pregnancy, the couple demanded Brittneyrose abort one of the babies stating that having triplets increases the risk of one baby born with developmental disabilities. Brittneyrose said, “I emailed my doctors. There were no abnormalities. I told her I couldn’t abort one of the children. I could not emotionally and physically do that at nearly 13 weeks. I believe it will be killing this baby.”

Brittneyrose even offered to adopt the third baby herself, but the couple refused and continued to urge her to abort the healthy and growing baby girl.

Now that she's 17 weeks pregnant, Brittneyrose refused to abort any of the babies. In addition, she is now speaking out to warn other potential surrogates of these types of situations.
