Student Saved from Potentially Fatal Shooting By Gadget

In California, a student's life was saved by an iPhone. The Fresno State student was walking home around 11 p.m. on Sunday, when he was jolted from behind by a man pointing a gun. The armed robber grabbed a bag containing the student's laptop, and then shot one round from a black semi-automatic handgun. It shattered the iPhone in the victim's pants pocket. Images of the iPhone show its front screen shattered. Remarkably, the student escaped uninjured while the shooter is still at large.
