Sonic Employee Tries To Do Something Nice, Plan Backfires

Victoria Lawson said it seemed like a normal night on the job at the Sonic burger joint she worked at in Oklahoma City, and then a last minute customer pulled up to place an order.

"She ordered a bacon cheese twister combo with medium fries and a medium Dr. Pepper," Lawson noted.

Lawson delivered the food, but the debit card the woman offered was turned down by the bank.

Lawson decided she would just go ahead and pay for the customer’s food with her own earnings.

"I pay for someone's food every day," Lawson explained. "I know what it was like to have nothing."

Then after a pleasant conversation and even a small tip, the seemingly friendly customer requested napkins.

"Then, I went and handed her the napkins and, when I did, she grabbed me really fast, and her hands were like pressed on my cheeks squeezing them in, and her fingers were digging in my eyes, and I started like trying to scream and cry, and I couldn't," Lawson said.

Seconds later, her head was slammed against the order menu.

"I fell on the ground, and she started kicking me and hitting me really hard," Lawson continued.

Attack Left Mental And Physical Scars

Her attacker sped away, and Lawson was taken to a hospital.

Lawson noted that the mental scars are even worse than the physical injuries.

"I just want to know why me," Lawson said. "Now, I'm afraid to sleep, because I feel her touch, and I don't see how somebody can be so mean to just hurt somebody."

According to police, the alleged attacker is 28-year-old Briana Lee, who was caught just a few blocks away still carrying $100 of the $150 she had stolen from Lawson.
