She Was Marrying Prince Charming Until She Googled Him For Fun - The Wedding Is Off!

Stephanie Hoskins, 23, thought she had met the man of her dreams on Plenty of Fish. Things escalated pretty quickly, and the couple was engaged to be married. Alas, the air came out of the bride-to-be’s balloon when she learned there were plenty of things that she didn’t know about the love of her life. Such as the fact that he was a serial player that bounced around Tinder like a super ball - and that he was a con man to boot.

As the Daily Mail shares, the nuptials have been called off. It was set to be an elaborate affair, as the couple planned to walk down the aisle at the fabled Southfork Ranch in Dallas. Yes, the one from the TV show ‘Dallas.’ It sounds like no expense was being spared for her wedding to Brett Goodman, a dashing Australian man.

“My father is very ill, he has stage four cancer… so Brett used that to push the wedding along sooner. We had our whole wedding planned. I bought a dress, and my parents had purchased a bridesmaid dress for my best friend,” she explained.

Goodman claimed to be a wealthy oil exploration worker, but he turned out to be an unemployed man that defrauded scores of women in his native Australia. His real name is Brett Joseph, but he’s calling bull on Hoskins’ claims.

“I have not conned her out of anything. Women will do anything or say anything for a feel sorry for me story,” he says.

Prior to tying the knot, Goodman/Joseph started getting antsy and pushing for them to get it done. That led Hoskins to grow curious, and thanks to a little thing known as Google search, she was able to uncover his true identity and philandering ways.

“He was very charming, very handsome and he knew all the right things to say. He made me believe we were looking for the same things in life… starting a family and building a life together in Texas,” Hoskins continued.
