She Hadn't Seen Her Neighbors In Days, Bad 'Gut Feeling' Turns Into Scary Reality

Two women, a mother and her adult daughter, weren't seen for a few days by anyone, and their friends and neighbors thought it was odd. Their car was gone and neither woman was answering the phone. Members of their church started spreading the word, trying to find the women on social media. They finally were found, but it wasn't a happy ending.

When Eva Jones and her daughter Tiffany Cartwright, disappeared, people took notice. It wasn't like the two women, who were very friendly and very active in their church, to just go away without telling someone.

The two were last seen on March 31. No one could get in touch with them, and they even missed some scheduled activities they had planned. By April 3, their friends were getting frantic and took to Facebook. They posted photos of the women asking if anyone had seen them. They also reported the women missing to the local police department.

Hours later, news from a neighboring police department confirmed everyone's worst fears. There had been a barn fire, and two female bodies were found inside. One of the bodies was confirmed to be Tiffany. Through DNA testing, the second body was identified as Eva's.

The pastor posted a video to Facebook to break the news to the congregation. “It’s just an awful situation. Hearts are broken. It's been a difficult day, a difficult week, we are grieving," he said.

Sara Harmon, Eva's other daughter, suffered a terrible blow earlier in the week when her husband committed suicide. He killed himself in response to her leaving him. She was now grieving the death of her mother and sister.

It's unclear why the mother and daughter were in the barn and how they ended up caught in the fire. Police are investigating and are not releasing details on the deaths at this time.
