School Flyer Blames Girl's Outfits for Boys' Bad Grades

At Desert Ridge High School in Mesa, Arizona, student Alissa Adams, 18, noticed a fully illustrated poster that claimed boys were getting bad grades as the result of girls dressing "pretty cute." Adams was so angered that she decided to share it on Twitter. It quickly sparked outrage. The poster starts with a picture of cartoon girls with the words "So you think you come to school looking pretty cute."

It then shows a yellow arrow that shows a cartoon wolf licking its jaws with the words, "But what the boys see is meat, and it's distracting." After that, it shows a report card covered in Fs explaining that the boys are going to "make lousy grades" as a result. At the lower end of the flyer it reads, "But then you end up with one of them anyway because he thought you looked HOT!"

It finishes with the image of a lazy man drinking beer in an armchair and a stressed woman sitting at a typewriter. The bottom of the flyer reads, "But it's okay...because you look cute today!"

Alissa asked the librarian to remove the flyer, and her request was denied. So, Alissa wrote at the bottom of the flyer "So its the girls fault, right? #feminism." Alissa said the librarian folded over the section she wrote on and stapled it down. Administrators don't know who put up the flyer, but said it was made with poor judgment.
