San Francisco Police Find Spiked Bats Throughout The City

San Francisco police are in need of assistance as they have found spiked baseball bats chained to poles throughout the city. They are interested in determining who chained up the spike bats.

SFPD Sgt. Michael Andraychak says officers first received reports of spiked wooden or metal bats appearing on poles and parking meters in the city on Thanksgiving morning.

By Friday, at least 27 have been found. The most recent discovery found around the Fisherman's Wharf area.

Due to the spikes, Andraychak says they are now considered a prohibited or deadly weapon and a felony.
