Rumors Of Man's Doll Collection Grow, Police Make Ghastly Discovery In His Home

Russian historian Anatoly Moskvin made a name for himself by traveling across the country to conduct extensive research on the deceased and their gravesites. Turns out he wasn’t just visiting the sites because he was really into history.

As the Daily Beast shares, it’s been discovered that Moskvin has been collecting female corpses. Investigators have discovered the mummified corpses of 29 females between the ages of 15 and 26-years-old.

“All his life he was obsessed with walking around hundreds of cemeteries, studying and documenting the graves. There is nobody like him in Russia. He had researched over 750 cemeteries all over Nizhny Novgorod region, being paid miserable kopeks for his priceless unique work,” said editor Alexei Yesin.

The case has gained a ton of attention in his native Russia. It’s believed that Moskvin became fascinated with dead female corpses at a young age and never looked back.

“From what I hear, the most probable diagnosis for Moskvin’s psychological problem is necrophilia and situational fetishism. We have helped a few patients obsessed with sexual attraction to the dead at this center,” said psychiatrist Yan Goland, head of the Korefei Center for Psychological Rehabilitation.

In addition to the discovery of the mummified corpses, investigators have also discovered that Moskvin essentially treated them as dolls. The mummified remains were rearranged as he saw fit, and his apartment was littered with gowns and female clothing. No word on what Moskvin’s ultimate fate will be for his repulsive actions, but at least one former colleague is hoping that he’s treated properly.

“This is a tragedy, that the investigation accuses Moskvin as if he were a sane person. We fear that instead of being treated properly in the hospital, he is going to be killed in jail,” said publisher Oleg Riabov.

It’s unclear exactly what type of rehabilitation that Riabov has in mind for Moskvin, but we’ll consider the chances of him suddenly seeing the light pretty dim.
