Robbery Goes Wrong

On Tuesday, a male suspect was seen heading into a deli with a shotgun on Lexington Ave. on the Upper East Side. A video camera shows him attempting to rob the deli on Tuesday morning when his gun jammed. Police said the robber got spooked and fled the deli on Lexington Ave. near 64th St. after his gun appeared to jam. Workers then chased him down the street. Police say the weapon was recovered at E. 65th St. and Lexington Ave. A surveillance camera image shows a man wearing a sleeveless T-shirt, while carrying the gun after the 8:10 a.m. robbery.
