Restaurant Owner Uses Sign To Address Persistent World Issue

A restaurant owner noticed a trend starting to emerge in his area, so he decided to follow suit by placing a unique sing on his door. It wasn't too long before many noticed the owner's thoughtful solution to one of the world's most complex problems.

The owner of Indian Fusion, an Indian restaurant in Edmonton, Canada, was tired of people going hungry in his area. So, he posted a sign that reads:

"Dear friends,

If you are hungry and have no money to pay, just ring the bell below or come in for a free meal box/coffee anytime."

Yet, he took it one step further by adding two meal options, "both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods, and asking those who may be using the restaurant under these circumstances to bring information of any ‘allergy or dietary concerns’ to their server’s attention." In addition, the restaurant encourages people who can't afford a meal to come and dine in, just like their paying customers. Yet, they can also grab and go.

The restaurant owner said, "I thought, how many people can I go and ask: ‘Are you hungry?’ It’s not possible. So I thought, why not put up a sign? In case someone is hungry."

A picture of the generous owner's sign was posted to Imgur and has since gone viral. The owner admitted, "I’m feeling sad, I think that I can do much more. I am already preparing food for other people. I am not going out of my way – this is my way of life. I am not doing anything extra."
