Restaurant Owner Put Up New Sign That Is Sending Muslims Over The Edge

After the St. Cloud terrorist attack, a Minnesota business owner decided he wanted to make a statement. He made one, and it was a bold one - right out on his restaurant marquee for all to see.

Dan Ruedinger, owner of Treats Family Restaurant in Lonsdale, made an effort to support St. Cloud by sending a message. He wrote 'MUSLIMS GET OUT' on the sign in front of his business. Needless to say, the sign stirred quite a bit of controversy.

Protesters have been gathering in front of Ruedinger's business to admonish the sign. “I get it, it’s his right to say what he wants to say,” said protester Payten Estepp. “But that’s giving Lonsdale a bad rap to everyone that drives by on 19... so people are going to see that and they’re going to think Lonsdale as a whole, as a community, is as crass as that sign.”

Ruedinger disagrees and plans to leave the sign as it is. “It’s time that people started standing up, not worrying about the PC crowd and do what is right," he said. "And I feel what we’re doing is right. We are not targeting the Muslims in general, just the extremists. And that’s all I can say. It’s my right and I’m going to stand up, and I wish more people would do it.”

The restaurant isn't worried about boycott threats. They've drawn bigger and bigger crowds since putting up the sign. Any people offended by the message have been replaced by even more people supporting it.
