Repair Man Horrified When He Finds Mystery Remains In Septic Tank

Homeowners were confused when they began having problems with their septic tank. Presuming it to be a clogging problem, they didn’t hesitate to call a septic repair company out to their property in Newberry, Florida.

However, when workers made an unexpected discovery, the pair were left shocked and horrified.

When Jathan Sean Barnes and Lesa Ann Delauder called a local septic repair company to arrange for the tank to be investigated, they never guessed they would stumble upon any sort of gruesome discovery. While the workers were working on fixing the tank, they quickly found out what was causing the blockage.

The workers were attempting to pump the septic tank when they began experiencing some difficulty operating their equipment. They quickly realized that their equipment was becoming clogged with what appeared to be human remains.

Upon realizing that the bones belonged to a human, the homeowners quickly called the police out to their home on Northwest 52nd Place.

“The septic tank company began pumping the septic tank this morning and began having some clogging issues and that’s when they discovered several bones that appeared, to them, to be human remains,” Alachua County Sheriff’s Sargent, Chris Sims, commented. Forensic Anthropologists from the University of Florida and the Medical Examiner accompanied police in order to assist in identifying and determining the origins of the remains.

Sergeant Chris Sims, of the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, has been tasked with identifying what remains have been uncovered and determining whether they can be used to reconstruct a human skeleton. “They’re going to try to piece together the different bones that they have to create the skeletal portion of the person to see if they can locate any identifying marks that may lead them to what the cause of death is,” declared Sergeant Sims.

The police officer also confirmed that the remains were, in fact, human, according to extensive lab testing and stated that he could not release what kind of bones were found.

While a death investigation is underway, the owners of the septic tank are not under investigation and are considered to be witnesses in the investigation. After reviewing property records, police were able to determine that Barnes and Delauder only purchased the mobile property a year ago.

This gruesome discovery comes shortly after a couple from Naples discovered human remains while snorkeling for lobster under the Card Sound Bridge, a high-rise toll causeway connecting Miami-Dade and Monroe County. After the pair discovered the skull and various bones, they immediately flagged down a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer who happened to be patrolling in the area.

Deputy Becky Herrin, of the Monroe Sheriff’s Office, has stated that there is no indication of who the bones belong to, however, it is suspected that they may belong to a man named James Dzadura. Mr. Dzadura, 38-years-old at the time, was wanted by police on sexual battery charges.

For this reason, it is believed that he jumped from the Card Sound Bridge and ended his life in 2013. After Mr. Dzadura’s car was found on the bridge, police searched for his body in the water, however, it was never found.
