Randy Travis Sings ‘Amazing Grace’ At The Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony Three Years After His Stroke

Country music star Randy Travis suffered a terrible stroke in 2013 that left him without a voice. Travis could barely talk, let alone sing, and has stayed out of the spotlight ever since. Last month, when he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, he took a huge step in his recovery: he sang in public for the first time.

There was hardly a dry eye in the house when Travis stepped up to the mic and sang 'Amazing Grace.' Travis is still struggling to pronounce some words, but he powered through it. The fact that it was so difficult for him only made the song that much more touching and beautiful.

Everyone applauded Travis, not only for his talent, but for his bravery and his faith. It was a beautiful scene.
