Protective Father Hangs This Shocking Sign Outside Home To Protect Community Daughters

Shelton Kitchens, from Arkansas, has placed a controversial sign outside his tire shop after learning his 16-year-old daughter was having a sexual relationship with a 21-year-old man. The young man, who supposedly lives near Mr. Kitchen’s tire shop, has been named and shamed by Mr. Kitchen, with a sign that reads “Danger!!! Child molester lives in first house on the right.”

Mr. Kitchen was extremely upset when he discovered that his daughter was having a sexual relationship with the older man. Mr. Kitchen stated that he found his “daughter like she’s almost eaten alive. It’s sickening when you raise her shirt and look at it. Hickeys all over.” Supposedly lured in by a litter of puppies, Mr. Kitchen believes his daughter was taken advantage of, and immediately called the St Francis County Sheriff’s Office. Unfortunately for Mr. Kitchen, no charges could be filed against the man as the young girl in question was over the age of consent.

The deputy informed Mr. Kitchen that, as the age of consent in Arkansas is 16, the man technically did not do anything illegal. Unhappy with this outcome, Mr. Kitchen began a public awareness campaign, leading to the sign being placed outside his shop. An employee of Mr. Kitchen, known as Marcus Rickman, has shown his support for his boss, stating “it’s going viral. That’s what we want it to do.”

Mr. Kitchen hoped that the message would increase “awareness” for other parents and prevent them from experiencing a similarly distressing scenario. He is also hoping that his protest will persuade lawmakers to change the legal age of consent to 18 throughout the state. Mr. Kitchen has confirmed that his daughter is no longer seeing the 21-year-old man, and claims that his daughter will need therapy to cope with the trauma of the incident. Another resident, Matt Malone, has commented on the sign, outrageously stating that “the only thing [Mr. Kitchen] can really do is be mad at his daughter. He can’t be mad at that guy.”
