Police Take One Look At This Baby’s Mouth And Immediately Arrest The Parents

Two young parents didn't appreciate the blessing that their new baby boy really is. Instead, they were frustrated and impatient with the day-to-day responsibilities that come with parenting. They knew they went too far when they had to bring him to the hospital.

Billy Ray Hawkins, 21, and Rachel Jade Nicole Herron, 19, were wrong when the two decided they were ready to start a family. Their child was just a few months old, and teething became too much for them to put up with.

The couple arrived with their infant at a South Carolina one night when the child was bleeding from trauma in his mouth. The parents told doctors that the teething toy 'exploded' in the baby's mouth.

After finding that both the infant's arms had fractures, his left eye was swollen shut and he had bruises all over his body, the hospital didn't buy the story and called the police.

Police found a broken teething toy in the garbage that was full of blood and concluded the parents, trying to get the crying baby to settle down, shoved the object into his mouth with enough force to shatter it.

Both Hawkins and Herron are now facing the consequences. They've been charged with abuse to inflict great bodily injury upon a child. The baby is in the custody of the Department of Social Services.
