Police Officer Notices Something On Patrol Car, Breaks Down After Seeing What It Really Is
Sometimes children understand basic, important facts better than adults do. For example, kids often understand the importance of reliable law enforcement in maintaining civil society and don’t let politics or race get in the way of telling the truth and doing the right thing.
One touching example of this positive, prosocial attitude is a handwritten note police officers in Fort Worth, Texas recently discovered on their parked squad car. The uplifting note was seemed to be written by a girl or young woman of school age.
The note took the time to thank the officers for their service to the community and let them know that some citizens continued to pray for their safety and well-being.
A pic of the touching note was posted on Facebook by the Fort Worth Police Association. The FWPA also put out a plea for the writer to come forth or somebody tell them who she was so the officers could thank her personally for her support:
The text of the note read:
To whoever drives this squad car,
Thank you. I am in awe that there are people like you who choose to get up and put on your uniform every day. You are courageous, you are faithful, and I pray that my kids grow up to be the kind of person it takes to be you just a few hours a day.
Whoever you are, I pray for you every day and for men and women just like you. I pray you and your family is protected, bust most of all that you are blessed for the work that you do.
There is a God who adores you. He died for you and HE is proud of you.
Keep on keepin’ on.
The sweet note concluded with a signature from "Maddison W”. Let’s hope the example of this good-hearted young woman will be emulated elsewhere across the US.
