Police Horrified By Reason Woman Gave For Throwing Urine On Bus Driver

A woman turned herself in after an altercation with a bus driver that disturbingly involved her urine. According to the Washington D.C. woman, the driver was sarcastic and not courteous enough.

Brown felt the female bus driver deserved a cup of urine thrown in her face for this behavior.

Opal Brown was riding a D.C. Metro Transit bus one evening when she had to go urinate. Since buses don't come equipped with bathrooms, the 38-year-old woman took it upon herself to discreetly urinate into a plastic drink cup she had with her.

"I had to go to the bathroom real, real bad. You know what I'm saying," Brown told News4. "I just peed in a cup."

Brown was all prepared to exit the bus with her cup and dispose of her urine. But as she exited the bus, she didn't like the way the driver told her to 'have a nice day'.

"She said 'Have a nice day' all sarcastically," Brown said. "She could have been more courteous."

As the door opened, Brown, a theology student and mother of three, stopped in the stair well and turned around to ask the driver, "Are you talking to me?"

"Yes," the driver responded.

Brown then reached around a plastic shield dividing her from the driver and threw the cup of urine in the driver's face. She got off the bus quickly, dropped her cup and ran away.

The driver, who got a face full of urine, was rushed to the local hospital for decontamination. She was unharmed.

CCTV cameras on the bus captured the attack on film and Brown is easily recognizable. Another camera also caught Brown as she relieved herself on the back of the bus. She ended up turning herself into authorities.

While she admits she threw her urine all over the bus driver she argues that the assault wasn't her fault.

"I was provoked. I hate Metro," Brown said. "I’ve been catching Metro for 35 years. They've never done s--t for me."

Metro Transit Police Chief Ron Pavlik doesn't see throwing urine in a driver's face as being justified just because the lifelong D.C. resident hates the transit system.

"To say bizarre is really an understatement. It's a vulgar assault," said Pavlik. "I can't think of anything the operator did to warrant the assault."

Brown bragged about the attack in all caps on a Facebook post after the incident, but also said she felt bad about it and wanted to apologize.

"OK YALL KNOW IT WAS ME WHO DID THE BAD STUFF TO THE METRO OPERATOR!!!" she wrote. "BUT I WANT TO APOLOGIZE TO HER BUT METRO OWE ME AND SHR (sic) WAS BEING VERY RUDE. SO AT 2:40 AM I WALKED UP TO THE POLICE THAT WAS AT BENCO SND (sic) CONFESSED TO IT CUZ IT WAS ON MY HEART ALL DAY. BUT ANYWHO TRANSIT CAME. AND THEY WERE REALLY COOL I ALMOST FELT LIKE A CELEBRITY. IT TOOK ALL OF 20 MINUTES JUST GOTTA GO TO COURT FOR THE SIMPLE ASULT (sic)."
