Police Chief Responds To Threatening Letter Demanding He Remove Godly Decals

A Texas sheriff has been under attack from an atheist organization who demands he remove "In God We Trust" decals from all of his police cruisers.

In Childress, Texas, Police Chief Adrian “Ottis” Garcia decided to stick “In God We Trust” decals on the backs of all the police cruisers under his command. As soon as some atheists found out, they were quite unhappy.

The department then received a letter from the Freedom From Religion Foundation that demanded they take the stickers down "or else." Chief Garcia posted his response on Facebook:

Dear Annie,

After carefully reading your letter I must deny your request in the removal of our Nation’s motto from our patrol units, and ask that you and the Freedom From Religion Foundation go fly a kite.

— Respectfully, Chief Adrian Garcia
