Police are Still Laughing at The Message They Put On Back Of Their Truck

A drug dealer who had evaded the law for years had really frustrated police. No matter what they did, they just couldn't seem to nail the thug, but it was only a matter of time before the criminal's luck ran out. Sure enough, he was captured and jailed. His vehicle was impounded. Police wrote something on the back of it that amuses those who have respect for the law, and serves as a warning for those who don't.

The back of the truck was spotted by a driver, who couldn't help but snap a picture of it and post it online. It once was the prized vehicle that belonged to a drug dealer known as the 'Candy Man'. He was finally caught with drugs in his possession in that car, so he was hauled off to jail and his car was confiscated. Now, it's a police car.

The law in some local areas allows the police to confiscate a vehicle if it's used for illegal purposes, such as selling drugs. Most of the time, these impounded cars are sold at auction. The money from auctioned goods usually goes right back to the local authorities in order to cover police department’s legal fees for confiscating items. Other times, the funds go to local charities.

Sometimes, however, police are allowed to keep a vehicle. They're not required to sell them, and the police that caught the Candy Man realized they had a good service vehicle on their hands. Plus, they could really rub it in by driving the thug’s prize vehicle around town while he was rotting in jail.

Police couldn't resist rubbing it in good, though. On the back of the truck, they placed a message for all to see. “This vehicle belonged to a drug dealer: He went to jail and we are driving his car.”

Let it serve as a cautionary tale.
