Pizza Hut Asks Woman To Leave, People Shocked By The Reason Why

New moms have it rough as it is, but when you add breastfeeding to the mix, caring for their little bundles of joy can become downright challenging. According to WTOL, hunger pains struck this newborn in a Northwest Ohio Pizza Hut, and when the mom tried to do her duty, she was promptly asked to leave.

Paige Martin was out to dinner with her husband and three-month-old son. Hunger pains began to strike for the youngest member of the table, and since Page is breastfeeding, she began to discreetly nurse her child. She says she was wearing two shirts and tried to cover up as best as possible, but a Pizza Hut employee had another idea.

"I was approached by an employee there who asked me if I could cover myself up with a blanket and I said 'no it's my right because he won't eat with a blanket over his head,'” Paige explained.

That led to a request for her to move to a less crowded section of the restaurant, which Paige declined.

“That's when she said 'well I'll have to ask you to leave,'” Paige said.

Small problem for the Pizza Hut employee: that request was against the law, and Paige is fully aware of her rights. She wanted a public apology, and the Pizza Hut corporate office has released a statement on the matter, which said in part that they will “further train our employees.”

“Stick up for yourself, stick up for your rights. I'm not just doing this for myself I'm doing this for all breastfeeding mothers,” she says.
