Picture Taken At Birthday Party Confirms Family's Fears

For Sally Watts, seeing a strange ghost-like creature in the background of her daughter’s birthday party photo was a bit jarring, but it was also something that served as a moment of confirmation for her family.

It seems that they felt as if they were being haunted for some time, but they never had proof. As the Daily Mail shares, they’re still having a hard time finding buyers for their tale.

As Sally explains, it took her some time to process what she was seeing in the snap.

“Initially I thought it was my son Ollie, but then you can see him sat on the sofa in the picture. There were only five kids there at the party and they were only there in the room. Charlotte was taking the picture and my other son Eddie was away camping,” she said.

“There's literally no explanation for it. We were trying to work out what had happened, trying to re-enact it without scaring the kids.”

Amazingly, she knew exactly what the strange creature was. It seems that her family has been keeping the company of a ghost for the past dozen years, but she never had any kind of proof.

“I used to blame Charlotte. One minute you'd be watching the EastEnders omnibus and then you'd have to be putting tools away,” she explains. “She had a rocking horse that used to neigh and make clip-clop sounds when you pressed it.

It used to go off all the time. So we took the batteries out, but it went off anyway. That's just how it was, it became normal.”

They used to chat about the ghost, but of course nobody believed them. That is until a neighbor heard their tale, and the family started to fill in the blanks from that point.

“A neighbour overheard a conversation we'd been having and said his mother used to live in our house. We found out her brother died there when he was six. He had been playing out and slipped on the wet step and died,” she continued.

“We found out his name was Anthony. We'd already named him, we used to call him Michael.”

It seems as if the ghost became part of the family, and they just accepted things as they were.

“My children were saying: 'He's not like a Scooby Doo ghost, he just wants to play, it's fine.’ There were times when I'd wake up and in that brief second I'd see him standing by the bed just breathing and then he'd be gone,” Sally continues.

“Babysitters used to refuse to come back, they could hear things being picked up on the intercom.”

While she feels better now that she has some proof, she also knows that not everyone will understand her story.

“A lot of people are going to think we are completely bonkers or it's completely fascinating. I'm quite open minded - you can't deny what you experience. Everybody who knows us from living in that house is a believer. It wasn't just us experiencing things.

Friends also caught orbs on pictures,” she continues. “Charlotte remembers things, but the other children don't seem to remember.”
