Photographer Captures The Beauty Of Children With Down Syndrome - Stunning!

A photographer took on a special project that was near and dear to her heart. She hopes that her photos will spread so that everyone gets the message.

Julie Wilson loved her sister Dina with all her heart. Dina passed away several years ago, but Wilson wanted everyone to know what a unique and special person Dina was. Dina was born with Down syndrome. In her sister's honor, Wilson now photographs other children with the same condition.

Some kids born with this syndrome are treated like a burden on their family. It wasn't long ago when doctors would recommend parents put their kids with Down syndrome directly into an institution after they were born. Even in this day and age, women get tested to see if their baby will have Down syndrome, and doctors often recommend abortion.

People with Down syndrome are prone to many kinds of health problems that may shorten their lifespan. That doesn't mean that they don't have a great deal to offer the world. Wilson and her family thought of Dina as a blessing to their family, not a curse. Dina is described as 'sweet, yet stubborn,' and as someone who loved unconditionally.

The photographer is hoping that her photos will help make a difference in helping others seen people with Down syndrome as the beautiful blessings they really are.
