Paul Ryan Has A Message For Hillary Clinton After FBI Decision - He Isn't Letting Her Off The Hook

Though the FBI recommended that the Department of Justice not indict Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton, Republicans are saying the issue is far from over.

According to the Independent Journal Review, FBI Director James Comey admitted that Clinton was “extremely careless,” over several security breaches discovered during the FBI’s investigation, but that no “reasonable prosecutor” would bring forth charges.

“To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences,” he said. “To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now.”

Republicans, however, don’t see Comey’s decision as reasonable. Republicans like Rep. Mike Turner and Rep. Matt Salmon say the issue shouldn’t be put to rest and that more hearings should take place.

“It is time for Secretary Clinton to be held accountable for her extremely careless actions,” Turner said.

House Speaker Paul Ryan agreed and suggested in an interview on “The Kelly File” that the lack of an indictment could lead people to believe that Clinton is above the law

“The FBI should release all their findings. She’s competing for Commander in Chief here,” he said. “There’s a whole accounting that needs to happen. We’re going to have hearings. We’re going to bring in James Comey to ask questions…There are a lot of unanswered questions here.”
