Parents Fight Daughter's Brain Tumor The Best Way they Can

A Batavia, Ohio couple started noticing their 3-month-old daughter Paisley exhibiting unusual characteristics.

Her mother, Carissa Hatfield, said, “We noticed her eye — when she would cry, her eye would not shut all the way. It would stay open, and when she started to smile, the same side of her mouth would not move.”

They decided to bring her in to see the doctors who suggested a brain scan. They didn't expect the surprise they received. After doctors found a brain tumor, they wanted to take a piece in order to analyze it.

As a result, they scheduled a biopsy. Yet, Carissa and her husband were not going to go through with it without prayer and calling on God's help.

According to WCPO, “The Hatfield said they had friends, family and people across the country praying for their daughter.” Carissa said, “As soon as he came in, he sat down, he was just shaking his head. He said, ‘Your prayers must have worked, because when I went in to get that biopsy,’ he said, ‘nothing was there.'” The hospital later released this statement:

“Doctors at Children’s had expected the worst — a malignant tumor. But when surgeons reached the spot where the suspected tumor was visible on the scan, they found nothing. They couldn’t have been happier to tell the good news to the Hatfield family.”
