Parents In Drive-Thru Window With Kids Caught Shooting Heroin

Employees in a Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru window in Hyannis, Massachusetts were shocked by what they saw in one car. The dad fell asleep at the window while giving his order. The mother was passed out with a syringe in her arm. And the kids were still in the back seat.

Dunkin' Donuts employees shouted to wake up the sleeping driver, who then took off after purchasing his order. The worried employees immediately called authorities and reported the car's make, model and license plate.

Police Officer Nicole J. Bevilaqua heard the alert, and spotted the car on the highway. She attempted to pull the car over, but not before witnessing the couple frantically switching seats in the moving vehicle.

The children in the car told the officer, "Mommy has to use needles all the time. She tells us to close our eyes or look out the window when she uses them, but I never do….Daddy has to drive all the time because Mommy is sick."

The parents were identified as Tiffany A. Tinkham and Lance A. Hillier. They've been arrested for 'operating under the influence of drugs, two counts of reckless endangerment of a child under 18, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle,' Cape News reports.

Tinkham, in addition, was charged with possession of various drugs. Hiller had been driving with a revoked license.

Those Dunkin’ Donut employees turned out to be heroes to those kids, who will hopefully go to someone who will take better care of them.
