Onlookers Stunned By Who These Kids Are Sitting With

Some children understand how to do the right thing at an early age. When patrons of an Ohio restaurant noticed 3-year-old Charlie and 4-year-old Axel sitting at a table, it wasn’t because the kids were acting up or anything like that. In fact, what drew their attention was the fact that the two well-behaved children were sitting at a table with police officers and everybody had big smiles on their faces.

Axel and Charlie just happened to be at the restaurant with their moms that afternoon, and when the kids saw two Delaware County Sheriffs (Sgt. Diaz and Sgt. Karbler) having lunch they felt compelled to show the officer’s some respect. The two kids asked their moms and received permission to pay $4 of their own money towards the officer’s lunches.

“The support and generosity made the officer’s day,” read a post on the Delaware County, Ohio, Sheriff’s Office Facebook page the next day.

In a comment on the post, Jackie Leanne Fowler, Axel’s mom, noted how impressed she was with her daughter’s and Charlie’s kindness.

“These are our awesome littles!!!!!” Jackie said. “We love and support our law enforcement!!!!”

Charlie’s mom, Heather Nichole Nelson, was clearly bursting with pride when she noted, “Our babies!!!”
