OJ Simpson Robbery Victim Makes Shocking Revelation

In the latest sign that life has a tendency to come full circle, OJ Simpson may have a surprise waiting for him when he gets out of prison. No, we’re not talking about the gaggle of cameras that will be waiting to film each and every one of his steps. Rather, the Juice may have an extra special guest on hand to drive him home after he’s sprung from the joint.

As the Daily Mail shares, Bruce Fromong has indicated that he’ll willingly head on down to the Lovelock Correctional Facility in Nevada to pick up his pal. Who’s Bruce Fromong? Why that would be the man that Simpson was convicted of robbing in Las Vegas. Fromong says all is well between the old friends, and he even appeared at Simpson’s parole hearing on his behalf.

“It's just too bad we didn't talk it out,” Fromong, 63, said during a recent interview. “If he just said in the hotel room 'Everyone out... me and Bruce are going to talk' none of this would've happened.”

At the hearing, Fromong went out of his way to shine a positive light on Simpson.

“He is a good man. He made a mistake,” he said.

That’s a pretty remarkable turn of events. The man at the center of the robbery case is essentially willing to give Simpson a mulligan, which makes it all the more curious as to why Simpson was handed such a heavy-handed sentence. Speculation has long centered on the fact that the judge in the robbery case wanted to throw as many books as possible at Simpson for walking away scot free from the so-called ‘Trial of the Century.’

While that theory has been lauded by those that feel Simpson should’ve faced consequences for the murder of his ex-wife and an acquaintance, a judge politicizing from the bench opens up too slippery of a slope. Does anyone really want to empower judges with the ability to make moral calls when they should only be concerned with dishing out justice as defined by the laws on the books? The possibilities that creates are downright chilling, and those that applaud this judge’s call would be wise to take a closer look at things.

As for Fromong, it sounds like he’s had a rough go of things since that fateful night.

“I could have died that night. They only needed to pull the trigger and I would have been dead. Just two days after the robbery, I had a severe heart attack. It was one of four I'd endure. I flatlined twice,” he said. “I used to be a millionaire and now I've faced bankruptcy.”

Hopefully, things are going much better in his world these days. As for Simpson, we’ll hope that he fades out of the public eye upon release, but we’ll consider that highly unlikely. The race will be on to get ‘exclusive’ interview deals with the Juice, so we can expect the circus to continue for quite some time.
